LIND PEST CONTROL & INSPECTION SERVICES, INC.
Offers Wood Destroying Organism inspections. This is a complete pest inspection of the interior, exterior, and substructure of a house or building. Frequently, these are required by lending institutions when a house/building is being sold. If it is not a "requirement" it is highly recommended.
If you are purchasing a house or building, this inspection is of extreme importance. It not only identifies WDO infestations, but it also identifies the damages inflicted by these organisms. A pest inspection also identifies, and calls for the correction of conditions conducive to WDOs presence. These conditions may include, but are not limited to: dry rot, active wet rot, excessive moisture, wood-soil contact, etc. These conditions, damages, and infestations can be quite extensive at times, and is well worth the price of a good pest inspection.
Transversely, if you are selling a home, there are advantages in completing a WDO inspection prior to its sale. For instance, if there are conditions and/or infestations that are discovered during a pest inspection, these matters can be repaired, treated, and warranted prior to finding a buyer. This makes for a shorter "to do" list and makes for a much smoother and less stressful transition in the final days of "closing".
LIND PEST CONTROL & INSPECTION SERVICES, INC. is certified and licensed with the WSDA (Washington State Department of Agriculture) and is a member of the WSPCA (Washington State Pest Control Association). All pest reports are written on WSPCA complete Wood Destroying Organism Inspection Report forms which have been reviewed and approved by the WDSA. These reports include written findings of conducive conditions and pest infestations along with recommendations on how to repair and treat them. A detailed diagram of the structure is also included.
ICNs (Inspection Control Numbers), which are mandatory on all valid complete Wood Destroying Organism Inspections, are at the top of the front page of each report. These ICNs register each report with the WSDA and aid in identifying and tracking the report.
While all of LIND PEST CONTROL & INSPECTION SERVICES, INC.s technicians are licensed, bonded, and insured and are capable of performing WDO inspections, Randy Lind is their sole pest inspector. With 23 years of experience and thousands of pest inspections completed, Randy is recognized as one of the industry’s best pest inspectors in our region.
If you are neither buying nor selling a home but have never had a pest inspection completed or suspect a problem, we also recommend periodic inspections (approximately every 2-3 years or so). Often times, small "problems" can be caught and fixed before they have the opportunity to escalate into a much larger and expensive situation. If you have any further questions or would like to schedule a pest inspection, please fill out the online form or give us a call.
